NYS Gaming Commission likely to license Tioga Downs

NYS Gaming Commission may formally award a casino license to Tioga Downs soon.

US.- NYS Gaming Commission may soon formally award a casino license to Tioga Downs, a racetrack and electronic gambling facility in the state’s Southern Tier.

Tioga Downs began construction works soon after it was recommended for a casino license last year. The facility located west of Binghamton was rejected in the first round of casino applications to the state, but prevailed on its second try.

The casinos which received licenses in the first round are under currently under construction in Schenectady, the Catskills and the Finger Lakes.

In addition to Las Vegas-style table games, the expansion at Tioga Downs will include a new restaurant, hotel and other amenities.
