Niagara Casinos reopening “exceeded the expectations”
After 16 months closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Niagara Casinos’ performance “absolutely exceeded the expectations” on reopening, the company has said.
Canada.- The two Niagara Casinos surpassed expectations on their opening last week.
The company did not provide a tally of customers at the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara, but praised the positive energy at both venues.
Due to capacity restrictions, the venues can host up to 3,300 (down from 11,000) and 1,900 (instead of 6,000), respectively.
“It absolutely exceeded our expectations,” Niagara Casinos president Richard Taylor told the Welland Tribune. “It is incredible after 16 months to be able to get back to safe, fun excitement at both of our properties.
“Overall, the feedback that we received from our guests and associates was very positive. Guests are excited to be back on property as life begins to feel more normal. We received the feedback that guests felt safe on property and appreciated the measures put in place.
“After 16 months being off the job, returning with many new health and safety measures to implement, a new rewards system and many updates around the property, there were significant changes to their pre-Covid jobs.
“Our great people go above and beyond, always. We had members from all departments stepping up to assist our guests in making their first visit back to the property a success. We look forward to continuing to recall more associates as restrictions ease and more of our amenities are able to open.”
