Sportsbooks in New York double revenue
New York more than doubled its sports betting revenue during last month’s operations and totalled US$2.3 million, which is a 175.3% month-on-month rise.
US.- September was a successful month for sportsbooks in New York, as once again they managed to double their revenue. The four licenced sports betting facilities took in US$2.3 million in revenue in September.
The US$2.3 million in combined revenue represents an impressive 175.3% month-on-month increase. Ever since New York launched its sports betting market in July, casinos exceeded revenues month after month. Launch-to-date results show that sports betting has generated US$3.5 million in revenue.
Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady was the leading facility in September. The Rush Street Interactive sportsbook totalled US$903k in revenue in September, representing a 102.2% rise from August’s figures.
Moreover, del Lago Resort and Casino closely followed Rivers by posting US$836k in revenue. It also represents a 375.5% increase from August revenue, although it had only operated nine days that month.
The launch of the new season of the National Football League (NFL) has boosted sports betting revenue in all states. The most popular sport in the US features three teams in New York, New York Giants, New York Jets and Buffalo Bills. However, only the latter plays in the state, as the other two play in New Jersey.
