New York casino to open in 2018
Hudson Valley’s casino, located in New York’s city of Albany, would be opened by 2018.
US.- Resorts World Catskills could become next gaming salon in New York State, as operators plan to open the facility by 2018. As revealed by Gaming Commission’s Acting Executive Director Ron Ochrym, the fourth upstate casino would be located at Hudson Valley in New York State’s city of Albany.
“Resorts World Catskills in Monticello, Sullivan County, will be the last of the new upstate casinos to open. Del Lago in the Finger Lakes, Rivers in Schenectady and an expanded Tioga Downs in the Southern Tier all opened within the last year,” revealed the local authority, according to the local newspapers.
New York’s next casino would be a US$1.2 billion Resorts World gaming and touristic attraction for international and local visitors. Operators Empire Resorts Incorporated have previously revealed that the casino would be named Montreign Resort Casino, but the plans were changed during the financing process.
The US$1 billion casino resort is being built in the Sullivan County town of Thompson in the Catskills. The complex will feature a 80,000-sq. ft casino, 390 hotel rooms and suites, resort amenities, casual and gourmet restaurants, spa and salon, conference and meeting rooms and banquet facilities. Montreign Resort Casino is scheduled to open to the public in 2018.
