New sports betting venue to open at Atlantic City’s Ocean Casino Resort
Ocean Casino is working on a new sports betting lounge that is expected to be open by the US summer.
US.- Atlantic City’s Ocean Casino Resort has plans for a new $4m sports betting entertainment venue. Construction is expected to start in March, with the venue to open its doors by the US summer. Details on the name, timeline and design are yet to come.
Bill Callahan, Ocean’s interim CEO, said in a statement: “As Ocean continues to strengthen its position within Atlantic City, we are steadfastly dedicated to property growth and development. We are excited by the new venue’s central location and the ability to advance our product with an innovative experience for our guests to enjoy.”
This project is part of a previously announced resort reinvestment of more than $75m this year, which also included 460 new guest rooms and suites. Sports betting at the venue will be provided through a partnership with USBookmaking, a subsidiary of Elys Game Technology Corp, if approved by state gaming regulators.
