New Mexico to debut sports betting market
While the regulation in the state when it comes to sports betting is still unclear, Santa Ana Star will launch its sports book next week.
US.- Ever since the sports betting federal ban got overturned by the Supreme Court in May, states started discussing the different possibilities they had in order to increase revenue. Though New Mexico wasn’t one of the states that was part of the big picture, Santa Ana Star is set to debut its sports book next week.
USBookmaking announced an agreement to provide sports betting risk services at Santa Ana Star Casino & Hotel, and the casino will launch its casino sports book on October 16. Santa Ana Star serves the Albuquerque market and is one of the top three New Mexico casinos in terms of annual revenue.
Vic Salerno, President of USBookmaking, said that the company has found that there is tremendous demand for a Nevada-style retail sports book operations in a multitude of casinos throughout the country. “We specialize in the ability to get to market quickly and operate efficiently. We have carved out a unique position where we are a very attractive service provider to the many independent casino operations that exist today,” Salerno said.
