New casino in New York set to open by 2022
A new Resorts World video lottery casino planned for the Newburgh Mall in New York could open by 2022 after getting the town’s approval.
US.- Resorts World expects to open its new casino in Newburgh, New York, by 2022, after getting the Town Board’s approval.
The Planning Board approved plans for the gambling venue just a month after the proposal for the 1,300 electronic games venue was introduced.
Meghan Taylor, vice president of government affairs and public relations for Resorts World, said: “We look forward to breaking ground soon and delivering on our commitment to create good-paying union jobs for local residents, help revitalize the Newburgh Mall, serve as an economic engine in the Hudson Valley, and begin generating revenue for New York State’s public schools.”
The new video lottery casino will be developed inside the Newburgh Mall. Quarter of the mall will be renovated by early 2022.
According to the company, its second venue in the state (it’s operated a resort near Monticello since 2018) will employ up to 225 people and will be open 20 hours a day.
