The extension of the NagaWorld casino and resort launched a soft opening this weekend.
Camdobia.- NagaCorp unveiled its latest facility this weekend as it held a soft opening of Naga 2, a complex extension of NagaWorld. The US$369 million hotel and gaming extension will hold several promotions until November 4.
As local media revealed, the soft opening that will last until November 4 gives local players an 80 percent discount at the food and music festival that is holding, even if they’re legally banned from engaging with any gambling activity at the facility. The venue is set to feature 2500 gambling machines, 100 VIP tables, as well as more than 200 public tables. Moreover, the new venue would be fully constructed in a few months.
Union Gaming Securities Asia Ltd, the Hong Kong based brokerage firm, had previously predicted that the development would rake in US$113 million in total earnings during tis first full year of operations. The facility also features 1000 new hotel rooms and 500 electronic gaming machines.
Back in March, the national government reported that tax revenues generated by the gaming industry in 2016 reported a growth of 40 percent due to improved policies on control and regulation over casino and betting operations. The results were obtained from the operation of 77 authorised casinos.
