Monarch Casino announces expansion
The Reno casino reported that they would turn the facility into a full scale casino resort spa.
US.- Monarch Casino & Resort, Inc. announced that the current facility will go through a serious transformation to turn it into a full scale casino resort with an hotel and a spa center. The news were announced during an event with city officials.
Even though the first time they reported the expansion goes back to February 2015, they officially started the remodeling on December 2016. The first step of the US$25 million project was imploding the parking garage, and the first ground was broken on Wednesday. The new venue will feature a 60.000 square feet casino, almost the double in size of the current one, along with a 23-story hotel tower with approximately 500 guest rooms and suited, a spa with a pool facility and four restaurants, among other things.
David Farahi, Chief Operating Officer of Monarch, said: “We have been positioning ourselves to reach this exciting milestone and undertake construction of the new hotel tower since we acquired the property in 2012. When all of the new facilities and amenities are opened to the public, which we anticipate will occur in the second quarter of 2019, visitors to Monarch Casino Black Hawk will experience the region’s most elegant destination casino resort spa.”
“Our recently upgraded existing facility and new parking structure will integrate seamlessly with the future hotel tower and casino expansion. We believe our favorable location at the entrance to town on Black Hawk’s main artery is advantageous and that we will continue to benefit from the Denver metropolitan region’s strong economic growth. We expect the fully completed Monarch Casino Black Hawk to set a new standard in the city for gracious guest service and upscale amenities and are excited by the promise that the future holds,” he added.
