Mohegan Sun inaugurates venue
The native tribe of Mohegan Sun has opened another touristic attraction.
US.- A special ribbon cutting event will take place at 3 pm on Thursday, 24 January at Mohegan Sun Pocono (MSP) for the new Molly O’Sheas Irish Pub & Eatery. MSP executives Tony Carlucci & Erica Tessier will be on hand to speak to this exciting new restaurant and bar offering. This special media event precedes a big Grand Opening celebration for Molly O’Sheas set for Saturday, 3 February beginning at 2 pm The Grand Opening celebration will have various food and drink options, live music and a chance to win a trip to Ireland.
Molly O’Sheas was conceptualised in the middle of 2017, and construction began in November of 2017 by Somerville Construction, based out of Forty Fort, Pennsylvania. The new bar and eatery will feature authentic Irish décor, a delicious dining menu, some of the best beer and whiskey to be found in the region, and live weekend entertainment.
The local tribe is planning to further expand their services to South Korea, although the casino project has been delayed. The official entity of the tribe, Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment revealed last week that they are postposing the ground breaking event in the country for 2018.
The Mohegan Sun South Korean casino will offer international services such as foreigner-only casino; three hotel towers with a total of 1,350 rooms; a 15,000-seat arena; a theme park; convention space; and shops and restaurants. The project will be based on the initial investment of US$1.6 billion, with a total commitment of US$5 billion for multiple phases over a period of 20 years.
