Mohegan announces PR appointments
Mohegan has named Cody Chapman as PR director and Charisse Huff as PR manager.
US.- Mohegan, the entertainment and gaming company formerly known as Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, has announced the promotion of Cody Chapman to public relations (PR) director and Charisse Huff as PR Manager.
Chapman and Huff will assist on external communication strategies and oversee media relations for Mohegan Sun and other Mohegan properties, with a focus on the Northeast. They will also support Mohegan Digital, the company’s igaming division.
Mohegan’s PR is led by VP of corporate communications, Jennifer Ballester, who has been with Mohegan since the opening of Mohegan Sun in 1996. Chapman is a member of the Mohegan Tribe and has been with Mohegan since 2007 when he started as PR specialist for Mohegan Sun. In 2012, he took on responsibilities as a Sports & Entertainment (S&E) publicist. In 2015, he was named PR manager for Mohegan Sun, a role that gradually supported more corporate-level initiatives.
As director, Chapman will lead the PR team and strategise goals for the department, working closely with corporate leadership, Mohegan Sun leadership, corporate Communications and Mohegan’s PR firm, Coyne PR. He is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University.
As PR manager, Charisse Huff will oversee daily PR and lead initiatives for significant announcements, important occasions, and milestones at the Mohegan Sun, the flagship property, as well as at Mohegan Pennsylvania in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Huff joined Mohegan Sun in the fall of 2018 as PR specialist before moving on to communications manager in 2021.
