Mississippi casino unveils expansion
The Island View casino opened its latest US$75 million casino expansion in Mississippi.
US.- Gulfport’s Island View Casino Resort has this week opened its new phase of growth, which represents the fourth since its grand opening in 2006. The US$75 million expansion boosts the facility’s casino floor.
The Beach Casino is a 43,000 square meter smoke-free casino, located next to the main building’s Beach Tower. With the US$75 million investment, the facility is the largest casino floor in Mississippi, totalling 126,000 square feet of gaming space.
Owner Rick Carter said: “As a private, locally-owned business, we recognised the opportunity to further invest in the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s future. This casino expansion strongly supports our area’s tourism industry and generates an economic impact from the 300 new jobs that we have created.”
Moreover, the facility’s second owner Terry Green added that their focus has always been on delivering a great resort experience with memorable guest services. “Island View’s Beach Casino gives guests a smoke-free option without giving up the amenities they have come to enjoy,” he said.
