Minnesota Senate introduces online sports betting bill
The initiative proposes to legalise online sports betting through Native American tribal partnerships.
US.- The Minnesota Senate has received a bipartisan bill proposing to legalise online sports betting through Native American tribal partnerships. Senate File 4139 would authorise up to 11 mobile sportsbooks. It proposes a 22 per cent tax on net revenue.
The bill is sponsored by Sen. Nick Frentz, Jeremy Miller, Eric Pratt, and Julia Coleman. The initiative maintains a similar tribal-led structure to past proposals. It’s been referred to the Senate Commerce and Consumer Protection and Rules and Administration committees.
In February 2025, a bill that would have legalised mobile sports betting in Minnesota failed to pass out of committee.
