The Malta iGaming Seminar 2016 received a large audience at the event’s Press launch.

Malta.- The Malta iGaming Seminar 2016, one of the most highly anticipated events in the Maltese and European iGaming calendar, celebrated its Press launch. During the launch, MiGs promised that the 8th edition will out shine its previous years and bring added attention to a sector which has grown in value for the Maltese economy.

This year’s seminar will include a content-driven programme presented by a who’s who of industry experts and a number of networking events. More than 500 attendees are expected at the eighth installment of the annual event this November.

“We have around 60 per cent of our delegates joining us from across the globe to learn from some of the best speakers in the industry” commented Jeff Buttigieg, Director of MiGS and COO of RE/MAX. “The knowledge delegates will gain from our informative seminars and contacts that they will make during our various networking events will surely be a mainstay of MiGs.”

NetEnt’s Regional Business Manager, Michael Pedersen surprised the audience with the announcement that MIGS will host Igaming Idol sponsored Video Slots, an award ceremony to honour the iGaming industry. This will be the first time such awards are held in Malta with all the proceeds going towards The Malta Community Chest Fund.

A list of personalities who attended the launch included MGA’s Executive Chairman Joseph Cuschieri, Hon. Emmanuel Mallia MP, Minister for Competitiveness and Digital, Maritime and Services Economy, Exante’s and business journalist Patrick J O Brien and Ivonne Montealegre, Tournament Director at Battle of Malta by PokerListings.
