MGM Springfield shares plans with the community
The public is invited to hear latest MGM Springfield casino plans during Armoury-Quadrangle meeting.
US.- The public is invited to the next meeting of the Armoury-Quadrangle Civic Association on Thursday, May 19, to hear from MGM Springfield governance the latest news on the for US$950 million casino project located in Springfield Massachusetts.
According to the meeting announcement, Mike Mathis, President of MGM Springfield, and his team, will be sharing updates on all aspects of the MGM project in downtown Springfield with the community.
There has been demolition and other site work in recent months within the 14.5 acre casino footprint between State Street and Union Street. These works included the relocation of the First Spiritualist Church and the demolition of the former YWCA building whilst saving some of its exterior features. The casino is expected to open its doors in September of 2018.
