MGM appoints new Hard Rock Rocksino head

Chris Kelly will take over as president and chief operating officer of the yet to be renamed Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park.

US.- MGM Resorts International has announced a new move for the soon to be acquired Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park. The company revealed Chris Kelley has been appointed as the new president and chief operating officer of the venue.

“We are thrilled to have the Northfield Park team joining the MGM Resorts family and look forward to Chris’ leadership and strategic vision driving the company’s success as we expand into a new market in Ohio,” MGM Resorts Chief Operating Officer of Regional Operations Anton Nikodemus said in a prepared statement. “The Rocksino already cemented itself as a market leader in gaming and entertainment and, with Chris at the helm, we are looking forward to building on that successful foundation and driving further growth.”

The venue is still named Hard Rock as the acquisition has yet to be completed. It is expected that the operation will finally be completed some time during the first half of this year. Just after, MGM Resorts will rebrand the Rocksino and the former vice president and chief financial officer of MGM Grand Detroit will begin overseeing its operations.
