MGM National Harbor sets opening date

The expected Maryland casino will open its doors on December 8, 2016.

US.- MGM announced yesterday that its National Harbor casino in Maryland will be open to the public on December 8. The company commented that the inaugural events and functions at its live entertainment venue will be revealed after the opening.

The public will enjoy the US$1.4 billion casino facilities during the holiday season whilst MGM will be adding several entertaining activities in the centre. MGM National Harbor will be a boutique-style hotel and casino, with more than 300 rooms and an integrated theatre, a conference centre, art, myriad dining options at different prices and a conservatory with flower sculptures that officials hope will become a must-have backdrop for selfies.

“When people come see it, they are going to be awestruck,” said Bill Boasberg, the resort’s General Manager. “There is going to be something for everyone in this resort. We are not just targeting casino customers.” National Harbor has hired about 350 employees and has extended employment offers to more than 2200 people. MGM plans on hiring 3,600 workers.
