MGM celebrates opening in Macau
MGM Resorts finally celebrates the big opening of its new casino in Macau, MGM Cotai.
Macau.- The grand inauguration of the newest Macau casino was finally celebrated yesterday, as MGM Resorts opened the doors of MGM Cotai. Macau chief executive Chui Sai on, along with key Macau government officials and executives from MGM Resorts, were present at the opening ceremony.
MGM China announced that the grand opening included promotional offers directed at individuals, families and business people through flexible and high-value packages. The offers started at US$170 for a one-night stay at MGM Cotai’s hotel, while an additional US$60 resort credits were given to be spent in the restaurants, spa and entertainment facilities of the guests’ choice. Ferry transportation and dining discounts when spending resort credits were also given.
MGM China had delayed the opening due to Typhoon Hato that hit Macau during the last week of August and destroyed multiple parts of the city. Moreover, after the storm the casino suffered a fire that left one worker hospitalised. As a result of these two events, the facility was forced to close its doors for around a month.
