MERKUR sun shines over Valkenburg

MERKUR Casino International is set to open another branch in the Netherlands, the company revealed.

Netherlands.- 33 years after opening its first own arcade in Amsterdam, the Gauselmann Group in the form of its subsidiary MERKUR Casino International will open its sixth branch in the Netherlands this autumn: As of October 2019, the MERKUR sun will shine over Valkenburg.

“All friends of the good game are cordially invited to the opening ceremony on Friday, October 11, from 6 p.m. With finger food and drinks on offer, guests will be able to get to know the new branch as well as the extensive choice of games and can also look forward to exciting surprises,” said the company.

MERKUR Casino International took over the new location in Muntstraat 8 from the previous operator in July 2019. Almost 70 gaming machines over an area of 249 square metres will be offered to visitors in a modern atmosphere. The branch’s opening hours will be: Mondays to Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

MERKUR Casino International, a subsidiary of the Gauselmann Group, operates more than 360 arcades in European countries outside of Germany under the logo of the laughing MERKUR sun.

The company founder, Paul Gauselmann, opened the company’s first international arcade in Amsterdam in 1986. Today, MERKUR Casino International operates in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Spain, Croatia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Serbia and Slovakia.
