Merkur Gaming opens BEGE 2018
The Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo began today (Wednesday) and the show received a record number of visitors.
Bulgaria.- Outside the Sofia Expo Center the weather was wet and cold but, inside, a record crowd of over 4,000 visitors was ready to welcome the 11th edition of the Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo.
Marking the official opening of the expo (complete with a drum band and Bulgarian folk dancers) Merkur Gaming’s Director of Industry Relations, David Orrick, was joined on the podium by Angel Iribozov (Chairman of the Bulgarian Gamin Association) and Guyersel Kyorov, general manager, of Princess Hotels for the ribbon cutting ceremony.
Welcoming visitors Orrick noted that the many manufacturer brands across the Balkan region had begun, less than 20 years ago, as nothing more than an idea and a blank sheet of paper but were now globally recognized as leading lights in the international gaming industry.
Exhibiting for the third consecutive year at BEGE, Merkur Gaming occupied a prime position booth that displayed over 120 games and introduced the all new Allegro Curve cabinet for the first time in the region.
Chief Executive, International, Athanasios ‘Sakis’ Isaakidis remarked: “We are delighted to be back at BEGE for the third time and we fully expect an excellent show that will give us the chance to greet old friends and make new contacts.”
