Melco walks away from casino project in Georgia

Melco International Development and MelcoLot shall not be developing a projected casino in the European country.

Georgia.- According to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Melco International Development and MelcoLot walked away from its casino project in Georgia. The reason for this change of heart  was the inability to reach an agreement with Dhabi Group Georgia, the holding that owns the site where the projected casino was going to be built.

“Although every effort has been made to negotiate with Dhabi on the lease terms, the parties are unable to reach an agreement on terms satisfactory to MelcoLot,” said a spokeman from the group.
