Maryland sports betting handle increases year-over-year in November

The handle rose 12.5 per cent year-over-year.

US.- Maryland’s sports betting handle totalled $720.1m in November. That’s an increase of 12.5 per cent year-over-year and a decrease of 2.3 per cent from October 2025. Of the total, $707.3m was bet online and $12.9m at retail.

According to the figures released by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency (MLGCA), winnings totalled $622.9m. Sportsbook operators held 13.5 per cent of the handle.

November saw the largest single-month return to the state since the launch of Maryland’s sports wagering programme nearly four years ago. The combined retail and mobile contribution to the Blueprint Fund was $14.3m, while $4.7m in mobile proceeds went to the General Fund. Through the first five months of fiscal year 2026 (July through November), contributions to the state totalled $62.9m, compared to $40m during the same five months last year.

Meanwhile, the state’s six casinos generated $158.7m in revenue in November. That’s a rise of 0.4 per cent year-over-year. MGM National Harbor led the market with $69m in revenue, up 5.3 per cent year-over-year.
