Maryland casinos revenue up in November
Casinos in the state reported a 2.5 percent increase over 2015.
US.- Maryland casinos collected approximately US$92 million in gaming revenue last month, 2.5 percent higher than the numbers registered in November 2015. Horseshoe Casino Baltimore’s revenue increased 15.9 percent during that period.
The Maryland Lottery and Gaming agency reported the numbers that show that Maryland’s gaming venues experienced mixed financial results in comparison to last year. Maryland Live Casino, Maryland’s largest casino, generated US50.2 million, 2.7 percent less than 2015, whilst Hollywood Casino Perryville’s revenue dropped 6.9 percent to US$5.6 million. Furthermore, Casino at Ocean Downs also experienced a loss of 1.7 percent to US$3.8 million.
On the other hand, Horseshoe Casino baltimore reported revenue of US$29 million, US$3.9 million higher than November 2015. Rocky Gap Casino Resort also posted a 5.6 percent higher revenue of US$3.8 million. MGM National Harbor, the state’s sixth casino, will open its doors on Thursday.
