Man arrested after refusing to wear mask in casino

A man has been arrested for refusing to wear a face mask inside a casino, a requirement that has been made mandatory in Nevada due to Covid-19.

US.- A man has been arrested in Stateline, Nevada, after refusing to wear a face mask inside a casino.

According to The Record Courier, the man said to security that he was not going to put on a facial covering while in the bar at the Hard Rock casino Lake Tahoe. When he was asked to leave, he then refused.

The man was reportedly arrested for trespass.

Tahoe Township Justice of the Peace Richard Glasson has ordered the man to stay out of Stateline casinos and follow state regulations on mask use as a condition of his release.

The county has 23 reported active cases of Covid-19 and 50 recoveries.

The incident comes after the decision to impose new rules at Nevada casinos following a rise in Covid-19 cases, and after the Culinary Union to launched a lawsuit claiming casino workers had been inadequately protected.
