Malta suspends online casino operator

The MGA suspended the remote gaming license from Star World Limited, which included online casino and sportsbook.

Malta.- The Malta Gaming Authority revealed that Star World Limited was suspended and ordered to immediately cease all business in the territory. The operator is being forced to stop every activity on its online casino and sports book domains.

MrRingo.com, the domain from Star World Limited, was also forced to stop registering players, and the firm was asked to fully cooperate with an upcoming investigation. “The [Malta Gaming] Authority hereby notifies that any websites operated by Star World Limited or associated with Star World Limited and which make reference to the [Malta Gaming] Authority or the above-quoted license is not approved to be operational by the [Malta Gaming] Authority.”

Due to the suspension of the license, Star World Limited is therefore not authorised to continue conducting gaming by means of distance communications under a MGA license, as it was announced in a statement. Moreover, the regulatory body notified that no further information would be released at this point in order not to interfere with any ongoing or upcoming investigation that may need to be performed by them or another authority.
