Malta regulator cancels gaming licence

The gambling regulator from Malta announced that the gaming licence from Wish Me Luck has been cancelled.

Malta.- The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) revealed on Wednesday that it notified Wish Me Luck Ltd’s gaming licence has been cancelled with immediate effect. The regulator from Malta said that as it cancelled the licence, the operator is not authorised to continue its operations.

MGA said that Wish Me Luck Ltd has been directed to proceed with the cancellation process and to suspend all gaming operations with immediate effect. In addition, a notice on the operator’s websites is to be displayed informing all players that the authorisation has been cancelled.

Furthermore, the gambling authority notified that any websites operated by Wish Me Luck Ltd or associated with the company, and which make reference to the authority or the gaming licence, is not approved to be operational by the authority. “Due to the cancellation of the licence, Wish Me Luck Ltd is therefore not authorised to continue conducting gaming by means of distance communications under an Authority licence,” said the MGA.

“The Authority notifies that no further information shall be released at this stage in order not to compromise any investigations that may need to be performed by the Authority and/or any other competent authority,” said MGA.
