Macau’s gross gaming revenue plunges to US$28.88 billion in 2015

Casinos’ gaming revenue for the past year has been the lowest in five years.

Macau.-  In 2015, gross gaming revenue in Macau’s casinos dropped to MOP231 billion (about US$28.88 billion.) That is a worrying 34.3 percent less than 2014.

The news agency says that, according to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau’s report, casinos’ gross gaming revenue in December fell 21.2 percent year-on-year, although the report does not provide the exact amount. This report also states that December’s decline was the smallest since last January, although revenue continues to fall for the 19th month in a row.
