Louisiana’s Queen Baton Rouge casino is now open
The former Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge has moved to land.
US.- The Queen Baton Rouge, formerly Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge, opened on August 24. The venue has been moved from the Mississippi River to land, expanding from 62,000 to more than 100,000 square feet in a $85m project.
The Queen Baton Rouge is located near the Louisiana State Capitol and the Mississippi River at 1717 N. River Road in Baton Rouge.
General manager Matthew Shehadi said: “We’ve provided a fun, exciting, safe environment and completely redid the parking lot, lighting, and security. We just want people to come down, have fun, and feel safe. The Hollywood is out. The Queen Baton Rouge is in. It’s an $85 million renovation. It’s absolutely stunning.”
The Queen Baton Rouge’s casino has more than 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor gaming space, 731 gaming machines, 18 table games, including blackjack, craps, roulette and Pai Gow poker and electronic table options. A DraftKings Sportsbook has 20 kiosks and four betting windows, lounge-style seating, a 28-foot video wall and large high-definition TVs.
