Louisiana approves emergency sports betting rules
The state aims to go live during the upcoming football season
US.- Louisiana’s Gaming Control Board has approved emergency rules to expedite the arrival of sports betting in the state. The state aims to go live in time for NFL betting during the 2021 season. The Gaming Control Board approved the emergency rules without objection.
The nine-member body supervises gaming in the state, including the state’s riverboat casinos and one New Orleans land-based casino. It also controls more than 2,000 video poker sites, slot machines at four racetracks and daily fantasy sports betting.
