Lotto24 chief information officer steps down

German online lottery broker Lotto24 has confirmed that chief information officer Kai Hannemann is to leave the company by the end of the month.

Germany.- Hannemann will resign his positions as chief information officer and member of Lotto24’s executive board. He will be succeeded on an interim basis by Petra von Strombeck, chief executive of the company.

Hannemann, who has served on the board since 2016, cited personal reasons for stepping down.

“Over the past few years, Hannemann has played a major role in establishing Lotto24 as a leading player in the industry – also with regard to its IT systems. We would like to thank him for his services and wish him all the best,” Lotto24 chairman Willi Berchtold said.

In February 2014, Hannemann joined Lotto24 as chief information officer. Under his leadership, Lotto24 successfully brought IT activities in-house and expanded significantly its technological reach.
