PGCB renews Live! Casino Pittsburgh licence

The venue has contributed US$314.7m in tax revenue to Pennsylvania since opening in November 2020.

U.S.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has unanimously renewed the Category 4 casino licence held by Stadium Casino Westmoreland RE LLC, operator of Live! Casino Pittsburgh, for another five years. The board concluded that the company had met the obligations attached to its existing licence and qualified for renewal.

The decision followed a review process that included input from the operator, members of the public and state and local authorities. The board also considered information from local government officials, community groups and Pennsylvania State Police, as well as reports from its own enforcement, investigation, casino compliance and responsible gambling departments as per standard procedure with an initial public hearing in the municipality and a later public hearing in Harrisburg.

Since opening in November 2020, Live! Casino Pittsburgh has generated US$647m in gross revenue from its retail slot machines, table games and sports wagering. Over the same period, it has contributed US$314.7m in tax revenue to Pennsylvania, the PGCB said. The venue currently operates 748 slot machines and 40 table games, alongside a retail sportsbook, and it employs 569 people.
