LCKY Group to buy RoyalCasino

Denmark-facing RoyalCasino will boost the proportion of LCKY Group’s revenue from regulated markets.

Denmark.- Malta-based LCKY Group has reached an agreement to buy RoyalCasino, a Danish online casino operator active solely within the country’s regulated igaming market. The brand will join LCKY’s existing portfolio, which includes LuckyCasino, HappyCasino, FlaxCasino, Vera&John, and OneCasino.

The acquisition reinforces the presence of LCKY Group, formerly Glitnor Group, in Denmark while increasing the proportion of its revenue derived from regulated markets. The deal is projected to deliver an immediate uplift to financials, with pro‑forma estimates suggesting a revenue increase of 18 to 20 per cent and an EBITDA boost of 29–31 per cent.

Richard Brown, CEO of LCKY Group, described the move as “highly strategic and financially compelling”. “RoyalCasino brings both strong market presence and high‑quality earnings in Denmark, a market that aligns closely with our focus on regulated, sustainable growth,” he added.

Brown added: “The transaction enhances our scale, strengthens our competitive position, and provides clear opportunities to drive synergies and long‑term value creation. We look forward to working closely with the RoyalCasino team to realise these opportunities.”

Per Petersen, CEO of RoyalCasino, commented: “Our industry is characterised by high levels of innovation and competition, and here we see the combination of RoyalCasino’s local expertise and LCKY’s international scale and igaming pedigree as an excellent recipe for shared success. We look forward to introducing LCKY to our Danish customer base.”

The deal remains subject to regulatory approval, with completion expected in the second half of 2026. RoyalCasino was advised by Partis. Financial terms, including the purchase price and funding arrangements, were not disclosed.

The announcement comes ahead of new gambling ad restrictions in Denmark, which include a whistle‑to‑whistle ban on ads during live sports and limits on outdoor promotions and free‑to‑play bonuses.
