Las Vegas casinos ban smoking
Two Las Vegas casinos have imposed a total ban on smoking indoors while two others prohibit smoking at tables with no dividers.
US.- Several casinos in Las Vegas have announced temporary restrictions on smoking inside the venues due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the AP news agency, Las Vegas Sands properties the Venetian and Palazzo have banned smoking and vaping inside, while two Wynn Resorts properties, Wynn and Encore, have prohibited smoking at any table game without plexiglass dividers.
The restrictions are expected to be lifted once the Covid-19 outbreak is contained.
The decision was taken due to the rise in cases nationwide but specially in Nevada, where reported 849 new cases were reported on Wednesday.
Nevada’s governor Steve Sisolak allowed casinos to reopen on June 4 but venues soon tightened measures after 16 visitors tested positive during the first week of reopening.
