Las Vegas casino workers now eligible for Covid-19 vaccine

Vaccine appointments can be made through the Southern Nevada Health District website.

US.- Casino workers in Clark County are now eligible for Covid-19 vaccines along with other workers in the hospitality industry.

The Southern Nevada Health District announced that workers in frontline commerce and service industries, including casino and resort employees, are entitled to vaccination regardless of furlough status.

Appointments can be made through the Southern Nevada Health District website.  Proof of employment, such as an employee badge or payslip, and a photo ID must be brought to the appointment. 

Some casino resorts have offered spaces in their properties to carry out vaccination programmes. Encore at Wynn has provided part of its convention area.

The company has faced huge losses as a consequence of the pandemic, reporting a 77.5 per cent drop in revenue year-on-year for the third quarter of 2020.
