Lake Tahoe reports a successful year
The Northern Nevada area continues to report good results.
US.- In the last six years, Lake Tahoe reported win increases five times, and it is expected that 2017 will continue the streak. Northern casinos went through a 6.2 percent rise, whilst South Shore casinos increased 5.2 percent their winnings to US$216 million.
Crystal Bay casinos totaled US$26.4 million, a 3.1 percent growth compared to the results registered in 2015. Table and game win grew approximately US$1 million to US$7.3 million. The South Shore increase ended a three consecutive year fall in the market. Mike Lawton, Gaming Control Board analyst, said that he anticipates continued increases to visitation, large convention attendance and a heave event calendar. “Positive indicators and positive national economic trends should continue spilling over into the state’s casino floors,” he added.
Last month, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino located in Stateline announced that the construction company completed the renovations that they started in late October of last year. Cary Richardson, Miles Construction Vice President of Business Development, said that the casino chose his company as part of a plan to boost the economy of the local community.
“Miles was brought on by the new ownership based on our ability to deliver on time and as promised within an operating facility. The changes that the property is undergoing are very positive. We are proud to help facilitate the further revitalisation of South Lake Tahoe,” he added.
