Lago Resort & Casino to open in February

The Seneca County casino announced its opening date.

US.- Lago Resort & Casino announced that it will open its doors on February 1. The US$400 million Seneca County project is one of the four upcoming facilities planned for upstate New York.

Jeff Babinski, the casino’s general manager, said: “We’re actually starting to take some; we’ve booked I think one, early already, for October of next year… as people look to stay and keep their business within the region and support local businesses.” Babinski said that he expects it to be a convention business destination as well.

“I expect that we’ll see a handful of businesses who are in Rochester, Syracuse and in the Finger Lakes region who definitely will want to use our facility to host their colleagues and have events,” he added. The casino already hired people to finish the whole project, and they estimate a total of 1500 people when they open their doors to the public in February.
