Konami appoints new vice presidents

Konami announces Vice President-level appointments for long-time Sales Directors Casey Whalen and Jay Bertsch.

US.- Konami Gaming, Inc. announced the promotions of Casey Whalen and Jay Bertsch to Vice President of North American Game Sales and Vice President of Global Systems Sales, respectively. Previously serving as senior director, systems sales, Jay Bertsch has maintained an important role in growing the company’s global partnerships for more than a decade, including three years overseas with Konami Australia Pty Ltd. Casey Whalen joined Konami in 2012 as director of regional sales and has demonstrated exceptional leadership and record success across competitive Western markets.

Since joining Konami Gaming, Inc. in 2006, Jay Bertsch Vice President, Global Systems Sales, has provided key support in growing strategic partnerships for the organization across global markets. First hired as Corporate Development Manager, Jay was promoted to Director of Business Development in 2011 before transitioning to a similar post overseas with Konami Gaming’s sister company Konami Australia Pty Ltd. By 2015 he had returned to Konami’s Las Vegas headquarters and was later promoted to Senior Director of Systems Sales in 2017 and Vice President of Global Systems Sales in 2018. In this role, Jay Bertsch is responsible for managing business development, account retention/acquisition, and sales targets for Konami’s SYNKROS® systems division and acts as the liaison for various internal/external organizational stakeholders. Bertsch plays a key role in identifying and executing strategic sales plans and initiatives in support of Konami’s market prospects. He is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.

Casey Whalen is Vice President of North American Game Sales for Konami Gaming, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for operational and strategic direction for North American game sales and lease/participation products.  Whalen joined Konami Gaming, Inc. in 2012 as Director of Regional Sales and was promoted to Senior Director of Regional Sales in July 2016. In March 2018, he was appointed Vice President of North American Game Sales and his leadership expanded across the United States and Canada. Casey Whalen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Arizona State University.
