Kansas casino revenue increases year-over-year in April

Revenue totalled $36.6m, up 4.9 per cent and down 6.2 from March.

US.- Casino revenue in Kansas totalled $36.6m in April, up 4.9 per cent from the same period in 2024 but down 6.2 from March. According to the Kansas Lottery, three of the state’s four casinos reported revenue rises year-over-year.

Kansas Star Casino led the market with $14.9m, up 9.08 per cent from April 2024. Hollywood Casino reported $14.3m, up 3.71 per cent, Boot Hill Casino $3.8m, down 2.16 per cent and Kansas Crossing Casino $3.4m, up 1.4 per cent.

For the fiscal year to date, combined casino revenue was $346.7m, up 2.3 per cent year-over-year. Hollywood Casino posted $139.5m, Kansas Star Casino $135.3m, Boot Hill Casino $38.4m and Kansas Crossing Casino $33.3m.

Sports betting revenue for April was $13.1m, up 63 per cent from March ($8m). Online betting contributed $12.7m and retail $427,193. The sports betting handle totalled $208.8m, down 16 per cent from March. Online betting contributed $204.5m and retail $4.2m.
