Jan Urbanec: “Endorphina is expanding in certified markets”
Exclusive interview.- Focus Gaming News speaks to Jan Urbanec, CEO of Endorphina, about slot games and doing business in Europe’s regulated markets.
How does a slot provider find its way at a time of unprecedented competition with new providers entering the scene and new games launching on a daily basis?
Focus Gaming News caught up with Jan Urbanec, CEO of online casino games provider Endorphina, to find out in an exclusive interview for our popular YouTube channel.
Endorphina has been at the top of the game in providing slots for online casinos since 2014. Urbanec thinks its still possible for developers to stand out if they don’t lose their way.

He notes that there’s been a big influx of people trying to emulate the Megaways success, but that brands need to find and maintain their own identity.
He says Endorphina seeks to tread a line between two aspects, showing players the fun and novelty, but talking straight to partners.
“We want to show our players the fun part, but we don’t want to market to our partners,” Urbanec says.
“At the end of the day, the people doing business look at numbers and ask serious questions.”
Urbanec says Endorphina’s main aim remains to provide “a quality, solid product” rather than racing to create volume.
“Everybody wants to have the security of a good and technically sound product,” he says.
“Players are the consumers and they make the decision.”

Endorphina is aiming to open in as many regulated markets as possible – and Urbanec believes that “in general, regulation is good for the business” though he admits the tightening of restrictions in many European countries may have an impact on player experience.
“There’s no way to explain to a regulator that players look for the means to gamble. Players are the consumers and they make the decision,” he stresses.
