In an exclusive interview with Focus Gaming News, Jaime Carvajal, sales manager at 1spin4win, discusses the strategic importance of the Latin American market for the company and reveals how 1spin4win approaches the game development process to ensure its titles stand out and remain relevant to players in the region.
What makes LatAm one of the key strategic markets for 1spin4win, and how is the company positioning itself to lead in the region?
With strong digital growth and ongoing regulatory changes, LatAm has become one of the key strategic markets for 1spin4win. Following my visit to the SBC Summit Americas, I realised that players in this region generally prefer simple, easy-to-understand games that work well on mobile devices, featuring classic slot formats with balanced math and rewarding features. This matches perfectly with what 1spin4win offers.
Another critical factor is the region’s diversity. Each country has its own style, tastes, and traditions, and our art and product teams are prepared to reflect that. For instance, games like Jungle Wealth Hold and Win and Lucky Bro Hold and Win were designed with these differences in mind.
Looking ahead, strengthening our presence and partnerships in LatAm is one of the top priorities for 2025. We are committed to developing games and initiatives that resonate with the local market, helping us grow sustainably alongside our partners.

What are the most exciting opportunities and biggest challenges you are seeing right now in the LatAm gaming market?
The Latin American market includes around 400 million internet users, which is already a huge opportunity. Key countries like Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia play a major role in the industry and have strong potential for further growth.
The market is also quite sophisticated, with both local and international companies competing actively for market share. There are many local platforms and aggregation solutions tailored to the region, which adds to the competitive landscape.
Another exciting opportunity is that about 80 per cent of potential players in LatAm use mobile devices. This is a great fit for us because we develop quick, adaptable games that run smoothly even on slow internet connections and older phone models.
What market insights or player behaviours unique to the region have shaped your product or partnership strategies?
It wouldn’t be accurate to generalise player behaviour across all of LatAm, given the region’s vast diversity, with each country having its own tastes and traditions. However, if we take Brazil as an example, we notice a strong preference for classic slots, especially those with simple and straightforward 3×3 formats.
This insight has directly influenced 1spin4win’s product strategy. We developed games like Coin Sniffer Hold and Win and Sun Treasure to combine classic slot mechanics with engaging and relevant themes that appeal to the local player base. By focusing on these player preferences, we ensure our products resonate well with the LatAm market and provide a solid foundation for successful partnerships.
How important is localisation (language, themes, UX), in game development for the region, and how is your team addressing this?
Localisation is a primary concern for us and one of our key competitive advantages when entering new markets. But localisation goes far beyond language. 1spin4win tailors game mechanics, themes, and promotions to match the tastes and preferences of each region’s players. This means including culturally relevant elements throughout our production process to ensure our games truly connect with local users.
We also focus heavily on user experience. Our games feature minimalist graphics, intuitive interfaces, and subtle sound design, all aimed at creating a smooth, immersive experience with optimised performance.

In such a highly competitive landscape, how does 1spin4win approach the game development process to ensure its titles stand out and remain relevant to players in the region?
You’re absolutely right — it’s a highly competitive landscape. At 1spin4win, our approach is to focus on what matters most: the quality of the product. We start from the inside, ensuring that the game’s math and mechanics are solid, engaging, and well-balanced. From there, we build themes and narratives that are carefully chosen to resonate with specific audiences in the region.
And we’re seeing the results of this strategy. Our focus on intuitive gameplay and compelling mechanics has led to a 46 per cent increase in bet count worldwide over the past year. This kind of growth shows that players are not only trying out our games, they’re coming back to play them again.
Which products or game types have shown the strongest performance in LatAm so far and why do you think they resonate with the audience?
As mentioned earlier, it’s difficult to generalise across LatAm because each market has its own preferences. Still, looking at LatAm overall, classic fruit-themed games have demonstrated strong results. Titles such as Cash’n Fruits Hold and Win, Hold the Gold, and Booming Fruits 243 remain highly popular among players across the region.
However, we’ve seen clear patterns in specific countries. For example, in Ecuador, adventure-themed slots have performed especially well. This insight led us to expand our Lucky Jane in Egypt series, this time introducing the Win Spins mechanic.

For 2026, our main focus is to continue expanding our footprint across LatAm, with a country-by-country approach. Each market in the region has its own dynamics, so it’s essential that we treat them individually, adapting our portfolio to local preferences, fine-tuning our offerings, and ensuring that every product meets regulatory requirements.
A concrete step we’re taking is the certification process in Brazil, which is already underway. This is a key move that will allow us to operate in one of the region’s most important markets with full transparency and compliance.
