Intralot will soon offer sports betting services in Kenya

The company will operate in the African country under the brand name mCHEZA.

Kenya.- Intralot signed a 10 year agreement with Acumen Communications Limited, to provide sports betting services in Kenya. The new brand mCHEZA was launched last week and it will be available on mobile phones initially, but it is expected to offer other products and services in the near future. The platform mCHEZA will use is Intralot iFlex, a mobile native application will be supported by the iGaming Console and it will also include player account management, customer relationship management solutions and Intralot’sʼs Horizon system. Under the agreement, Acumen Communications Limited and Intralot will associate with Safaricom, a telecommunications firm to use its mobile payment platform MPESA, cloud services and data centre.

mCHEZA chief executive Peter Karimi said that “numerous sports, markets and betting modes will be incorporated on the platform in the first quarter of 2016, with live betting to follow thereafter. The platform is working on a strategic expansion plan into other East African markets from 2016.”
