Interwetten secures Nigeria sports betting licence
Betting giant arrives in Africa for the first time and will offer Nigerian players sports betting products via interwetten.ng.
Nigeria.- The National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) has awarded Interwetten a license to offer sports betting to players in Nigeria for the very first time, via it interwetten.ng domain.
The licence marks Interwetten’s arrival in the African market, considered to have the potential to be one of the largest online gambling regions in the world.
“The market holds some challenges but also a variety of opportunities for us. The enthusiasm for sport and betting in this country is enormous. We can produce a product with the highest European standards and I am confident it will be well received,” Interwetten CEO, Dominik Beier, said.
“It is a real milestone in the successful history of Interwetten; we are proving once again to be a first mover in the industry,” he added.
According to Gambling Insider, the brand will offer sports betting, virtual sports and esports on both mobile and desktop, while streamlining its website to adapt to the Nigerian market.
