Niculae joins IGG from Gaming Innovation Group (GiG)
Malta.- The streaming affiliation company Interactive Gaming Group (IGG) has appointed Cristina Niculae as its new chief executive.
Niculae has spent the last three years at Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), first as chief operating officer for its B2B platform business, iGamingCloud, and then as chief strategy officer from 2018.
Prior to joining GiG, Niculae held senior roles in the technology and communications industry, including at Oracle and Ericsson.
IGG works with live streamers to help brands promote their products. Igaming clients have included Casumo, LeoVegas, William Hill’s Mr Green and Entain’s PartyCasino.
Niculae will be tasked with optimising processes and nurturing talent and innovation. She will aim to establish new partnerships for a sustainable growth strategy.
IGG said: “We believe that Cristina is the perfect person to enable Interactive Gaming Group to scale to the next level and become a leading power-player in the igaming industry.”
Niculae said that the live game streaming market was estimated to have generated revenue of $50bn in 2020, and that this was expected to increase rapidly in the next six years.
She said: “In the casino space, rapid digitalisation and increased competition between online casinos are creating a strong value proposition for what streaming communities have to offer.
“Therefore, I feel inspired by the tremendous potential of Interactive Gaming Group to innovate and create long term value in this exciting space.”
