Romania’s national gambling regulator, the Oficiul National pentru Jocuri de Noroc (ONJN), has blacklisted another tranche of iGaming sites.
Romania.- The national gambling regulator, Oficiul National pentru Jocuri de Noroc (ONJN), has added 41 more iGaming domains to the country’s blacklist of illegal gambling websites.
The 1,000 plus internet service providers operating in Romania are obliged to block access to the blacklisted sites by May 14.
There are no major iGaming names among the latest additions to the list, which include mainly dot.com and dot.co.uk domains.
Blacklisted sites include Anytime Casino, Casino Kings, Fruity King, and Casino Palace.
The ONJN has continued to update its blacklist of banned sites since 2015 when it was created ahead of the country opening its regulated online gambling market in 2016.
Several iGaming companies continue to look at expansion in Romania. Most recently, Synot games strengthened its position in the country through a deal with Fortuna Entertainment’s Casa Pariurilor.
