iGaming revenue rises in Delaware
The iGaming market in Delaware continues its upward trend and posts a 30.4% rise in revenue during August operations.
US.- After posting a year-low in June and recovering in July, Delaware’s iGaming market posted an impressive increase in revenues during August operations. The online gaming segment increased 30.4% year-on-year in August.
Total revenue was US$290.1k, which is significantly higher than the US$222.5k from August 2018. It is the highest monthly total since May 2019’s US$313.6k
Player spend was US$12.5 million in August, which is a significant increase from the US$8.8 million registered in July. The figure is the highest amount since the US$14.6 million registered in March 2019. Players winnings also increased to US$12.3 million, up from the US$8.6 million from the same period in 2018.
Dover Downs was once again the facility that generated the biggest revenue in Delaware with US$142.2k from stakes of US$5.69 million.
July results
iGaming operators in Delaware registered US$288k in net revenue during July operations. The US$288k figure that the operators accounted last month represents an increase from the US$248.2k that they had registered during the same period last year. Last month’s results also represent an increase from the US$257k that the operators raked in June, which represented the lowest total of the year.
These results come despite a significant decrease in player spending. When compared to July 2018 operations, player spending decreased by approximately US$10 million in July 2019. The amount wagered last month was US$7.92 million, while the one registered in 2018 was US$17.9 million. Winnings also fell year-on-year from US$17.7 million to US$7.66 million.
