iGaming Asia Congress celebrated its 10th Anniversary

On Tuesday, the longest running dedicated C-level igaming show in Asia, opened its doors at the Grand Hyatt Macau.

Macau.- Over 150 C-level executives from the regional and global gaming industry gathered to have a first-hand look at the latest developments in Asia. The first ever start-up launchpad to promote innovation in the Asian gaming industry was held on Tuesday.  The audience witnessed three start-ups present in front of a judging panel formed by investors and other prominent industry experts.

Chairman Andrew W. Scott, the CEO of Inside Asian Gaming, kicked off the conference, and the first keynote was delivered by Sue Schneider, Editor in Chief of Gaming Law Review. Sue spoke on, “What I would have done differently then, if I had known what I know now” – Looking back at 10 years of iGaming in Asia and planning for the future. The following sessions took a closer look at the ASEAN market, and where the next big igaming market might be. Panellists include Rhys Jones, Managing Director of Ha Tien Vegas., Prof. Augustine Ha Ton Vinh, Chairman of Stellar Management Corp., and Harmen Brenninkmeijer, Managing Director of Dynamic Partners. The session was moderated by Martin Williams, Asia Editor at GamblingCompliance. Another key topic this year was the Euro-Asian connection and the role and future of strategic partnerships and M&A’s in the industry, presented by Rune Löderup, the Chairman of GoldBlue AB.

Mark Sutcliffe, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Football Association gave his keynote on the growing synergy between sports betting and sports in the region, and where the new and existing opportunities can be found. In the afternoon, the Congress focused on sports betting in the region, and explored where the opportunities are in India and Vietnam. eSports betting and its potential was also discussed on a panel with Paul Polterauer, CEO & Co-Founder of HEROcoin & herosphere.gg, Alexander Higerty, Esports Account Manager at Sportradar and Scott Burton, CEO of eSports Pools, and moderated by Hai Ng from Neomancer LLC & Spawn Point.

The event also covered marketing innovation, the latest technology of the industry, including cryptocurrencies, big data, blockchain technology and cybersecurity. The much anticipated first annual gaming start-up launchpad was held today bringing more up-and-coming companies to the diversified platform.
