Less routine, more partnership. How scalable processes can make B2B relationships more personal, not less, according to Gamzix

Arpine Sargsyan, Head of Account Management at Gamzix, explains how automating routine tasks frees teams to act as true revenue partners.

Key takeaways:

  • Gamzix treats responsiveness as the baseline, not the goal, of account management.
  • Routine requests (RTP specs, certificates, media packs) should be self-serve, not ticket-based.
  • Gamzix’s Client Area centralises roadmaps, technical docs, assets and promo tools for partners.
  • Human expertise is reserved for decisions that change outcomes, not for fetching static information.
  • The model shifts account management from answering questions to anticipating partners’ next needs.

Opinion.- Gamzix has built a Client Area that gives operators and aggregators direct access to its product roadmap, technical game data, promotional materials and Promo Tools, removing a layer of routine requests from its account management team. Arpine Sargsyan, head of account management at Gamzix, said the change is meant to free up time for account managers to spot opportunities and anticipate partner needs rather than simply respond to them. In the following article, she argues that automating repetitive information requests, not increasing the volume of contact, is what makes a B2B partnership in igaming more personal.

In the relationship between a game provider and an operator, responsiveness matters. Launch dates move, campaigns change, new markets create new requirements, and sometimes an answer is needed quickly enough to affect what happens next.

But after working closely with partners, I believe responsiveness is only the first level of good Account Management. The next is making sure partners can access what they need without having to ask for it. And the level above that is understanding their business well enough to answer questions they have not asked yet, but that are already in the air.

For us at Gamzix, this is where Account Management starts moving from service to partnership.

Personalisation should happen where it creates value

Every operator and aggregator works differently. Markets, player audiences, release calendars, portfolio priorities and promotional strategies vary, so the same game can require a very different approach from one partner to another.

That is where an Account Manager should be involved: understanding the context behind the integration, identifying relevant opportunities, planning releases and campaigns together, and knowing when a particular game, mechanic, or promotional tool makes sense for that partner.

But not every interaction requires that level of involvement.

If a partner needs an RTP specification, certificate, media pack, or release date, having to ask an Account Manager does not make the service more personal. It simply adds another step between the question and the information.

The larger a provider becomes, the harder it is to ignore this distinction. Repetitive work such as status updates and reporting can be automated. The relationship with a partner cannot be automated, and personal attention should go to the moments that change the outcome.

Building infrastructure around the partnership

This is the approach we have been taking at Gamzix, including with the development of our Client Area.

We looked at the requests that regularly pass between our partners and Account Management team and identified the information that should simply be available whenever an operator or aggregator needs it.

The Client Area brings together the product roadmap, complete technical information for every game, promotional packs and game assets, as well as the full range of Gamzix’s in-house Promo Tools. Instead of requesting these materials individually, partner teams can access the latest available information and resources directly, whenever they need them.

This is not about reducing communication with our partners. It is about reducing the communication that does not need to happen.

From answering requests to anticipating needs

For Account Management, removing part of the routine creates room for a different kind of work.

Instead of spending a conversation locating a media pack, we can discuss how the release will be supported. Instead of sending a roadmap on request, we can look at what is coming and identify which titles are relevant to a partner’s portfolio. Instead of simply answering what is available in a particular market, we can start the conversation around what the partner may need there next.

That distinction matters because the volume of emails and calls says little about a B2B relationship. What counts is how well each side knows the other’s business and whether it acts on that knowledge.

Every partner can run on the same operational foundation, but the partnership built on it should remain individual.

For me, this is what scalable Account Management in igaming should look like: routine information is easy to access, and human expertise stays close to the decisions that need it. Over time, the work moves from answering questions faster to anticipating them.

Sometimes the best answer is one your partner did not have to ask for.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

  • What is the Gamzix Client Area? A self-service platform giving partners direct access to Gamzix’s product roadmap, complete technical documentation for each game, promotional packs, game assets and the Promo Tools suite, without going through an account manager.
  • Why is Gamzix automating account management tasks? Sargsyan said repetitive requests, such as sending RTP specifications or media packs, add a step between partners and the information they need without making the relationship more personal, so automating them frees account managers for strategic conversations.
  • Does automation reduce communication between Gamzix and its partners? No. Sargsyan said the goal is to cut communication that doesn’t need to happen, not to lower overall contact between Gamzix and its partners.
  • How does this change the account manager’s role? Sargsyan said the role shifts from answering requests faster to anticipating partner needs before they’re raised, drawing on knowledge of each partner’s markets, portfolio and promotional strategy.
