Penn National Gaming has held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the $111m casino.

US.- Hollywood Casino Morgantown, Penn National Gaming’s fourth casino and entertainment venue in Pennsylvania, has opened. Legislators, state gaming officials, and dignitaries, including Philadelphia Eagles’ Vince Papale attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The $111m casino offers 750 slot machines, 20 table games, a retail barstool sportsbook and dining experiences.

Todd George, Penn National EVP of operations, said: “We would like to officially welcome players and guests to Hollywood Casino Morgantown, our fourth property in the Commonwealth.

“We’re thrilled to showcase this regional entertainment destination, offering premier gaming and dining in a modern atmosphere. In addition, we’re grateful for the support of our host community, Caernarvon Township, and to all of our local and state legislators and regional business leaders who helped make this day possible.

“We’re proud to be creating jobs and starting a new economic engine right here in Berks County.”

With 80,000 square feet of gaming and entertainment space, the facility employs approximately 375 people. The casino will be open 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 9am to 4am on other days.
