Harrah’s Philadelphia applies for sports betting licence

The facility located in Pennsylvania is the third one to apply for a spots betting licence in the state.

US.- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced on Tuesday that Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack has become the third casino in the state to apply for a sports wagering licence.

The interactive sports betting services would be operated by Caesars Interactive Entertainment, a subsidiary of Harrah’s parent company, Caesars Entertainment Corp, which also operates sports books in Nevada, the biggest state when it comes to gambling and sports betting.

The first facility to apply for a sports betting licence in the state was Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Dauphin County, while Parx Casino in Bensalem applied for one to offer sports bets at its offtrack racing outlet near Philadelphia.

Earlier this month, Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) spokesman Dough Harbach said that petitions were not ready to be discussed at the time, but that they will be considered next month.
