Hard Rock tops guitar shaped hotel in Florida
The casino giant, alongside the Seminole Tribe have topped the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood.
US.- The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood finally got its guitar-shaped hotel topped off on Monday. During a special ceremony, the final steel beam was placed in front of hundreds of tribal members, construction workers, business people and government visitors.
“There is no other brand in hospitality that has a presence in 75 countries around the world,” said James Allen, chairman of Hard Rock International, and added: “But at the same time, it’s the history of the tribe and its culture and sovereignty.” Allen explained the project will have a major economic impact as it is worth “literally hundreds of millions of dollars,” and detailed: “The building alone is US$1.5 billion.”
The 450-foot tower hosts 638 guestrooms out of the 806 rooms the complex has so far. Once its completed, it will have 1,264 hotel rooms which will be just meters away from the casino. The gaming venue will be equipped with 3,267 slot machines and 178 table games such as blackjack and baccarat. In addition, management is rebuilding its Hard Rock Live theater to increase seating to accommodate 7,000 patrons.
